Welcome to Englishoo. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our English language learning platform.

When you use Englishoo, we collect:

• Account information: Email, name, and profile picture provided through Google sign-in
• Learning preferences: Native language, accent preference, and current level
• Usage data: Practice progress, completed exercises, subscription status, and credits used
• Friend and profile features: Profile ID, nickname, avatar, friend connections, friend requests or removals, and vocabulary progress shown in friend comparisons or word races
• Game and activity data: Scores, attempts, progress, leaderboard-style comparisons, and similar activity data for current or future learning games
• Payment information: Payment details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored by us
• AI practice inputs: Writing, speaking, or chat messages are processed to provide AI responses and feedback. We do not permanently store your AI conversation chat history on our servers.

• Show friend lists, profile codes, word races, and progress comparisons
• Run learning games, challenges, scores, and future practice features

We use trusted service providers for authentication, hosting, analytics, AI processing, voice features, and payment handling. We share only the minimum data necessary for those services to function on our behalf.

Friend features are designed to share limited learning progress with people you add, such as your nickname, avatar, profile ID, total learned words, level-based word counts, and race progress. Do not share your profile ID publicly if you only want known learners to add you.

Future games or challenges may show scores, attempts, streaks, rankings, or similar learning activity to you, your friends, or other participants where the feature clearly supports comparison.

Your data is stored using industry-standard security measures. Passwords are not stored by us because we use Google OAuth for authentication. We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Update your information at any time
• Export your learning data
• Remove friends or ask us to delete friend-related profile data
• Opt out of marketing communications

We use essential cookies or local storage for authentication and session management. We may also use product analytics to understand usage and improve the service. We do not use advertising cookies.

Englishoo is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We will update this page when we add meaningful new features, including new friend tools, games, challenges, leaderboards, or other learning experiences that affect how data is collected or shown. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification where appropriate.
